David is a director and co-founder of Welsh + Major, a collaborative architecture practice that began in 2004. The practice has designed many beautiful, distinctive award winning buildings across a range of typologies. He describes his work as modern-ish, a design approach that allows the practice to work within a broad modernist sensibility without being constrained by any dogma of materials or austere functionality. David is a regular contributor to a range of design publications. He has contributed as a jury member to a number of awards programs and is currently an Australian Institute of Architects NSW chapter councillor.
