Dr. Atkins has been the Director of the School Nurse Certification Program and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Nursing at Rutgers. Dr. Atkins is not your typical school nurse, and he has dedicated his life to improving health outcomes for students in under-resourced, urban neighborhoods through service, scholarship, and education.
