It is Memorial Day, and we are honoring those who have lost their lives for this country. We will talk about how to teach our children to be advocates for, and students of, peace. And we'll discuss the role of faith and spirituality in peace education.
Susan G. Burton is the Director of the United Methodist Seminar Program on National and International Affairs on Capitol Hill. She facilitates social justice learning experiences for students in which they come to understand the intersection of faith, justice, and service.
