Teachers are the life force of any education system, which makes them easy targets. 2013 has been quite a year for teachers - from standardized testing protests to teacher evaluation showdowns and more.
This week's guest is Elizabeth Davis, an educator with 41 years experience as a classroom teacher and the new President of the Washington Teachers Union in Washington, D.C. She is lifting her own voice on behalf of teacher voices all over DC and the nation, and she'll talk to us about what 2013 has meant for teachers and what is to come for teachers in the new year.
Host Allison R. Brown is a civil rights attorney and President of Allison Brown Consulting (ABC), which works with schools and non-profit organizations to create education equity plans and promote equity in education in compliance with federal law.
