In this episode, your hosts aren’t dead yet, and they’re trying something new due to scheduling and transportation difficulties.

In Adventures in Knitting, Maggie was working on the There and Back Again Story Scarf (um…stay tuned on that one) as well as her no-pattern Grimm scarf, as well as the Chroma Stocking Cap for the Elfling as well as doing some spinning with the fleece she bought a few months ago.  Karen, meanwhile, is also working on the There and Back Again Story Scarf, but also has her Rhinebeck Sweater (again…stay tuned on that one) for which she’s knitting the Saddleback Cardigan.  She was also very good when it comes to shopping at the Kitchener-Waterloo Knitters Fair.

In Geek Squee, Karen is swamped with FEELS over Agents of SHIELD (in addition to being swamped with schoolwork), Emma Watson is made of awesome and has started the He For She campaign, there’s a petition to erect a statue of Wolverine in his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta and Deadpool is getting a movie…which could be rated PG-13?  And in something way classier, there are photos of Benedict Cumberbatch as Richard III in The Hollow Crown and damn.  It also has Andrew Scott, Michael Gambon and Judi Dench so needless to say we’re so watching this when it comes out on TV.

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes we’re swooning over the fannish leather jackets from FanJackets.com (as well as the James Bond tuxes, *growls*), and Karen is SUPER DISAPPOINTED IN YOU PEOPLE because only now did she find the Mad Geek Tour Yarn & Fiber Club from Mad Color Fiber Arts  and Jessalu Bags and there was a Marvel themed yarn club in the summer! With “Don’t Touch Lola” yarn! *pouts*  Also, thanks to the Stitch Sisters Podcast, now we know about another source for fairly inexpensive yarn, Willow Yarns.  Thanks a lot, guys.
