…And, y’know, don’t listen to this one around the kids (like that’s ever a good idea with us, though).  In this episode, Karen is full of feels, so consider yourself warned.  Don’t worry, if she gets too out of control, newly-minted red belt Maggie can take her down.

In Adventures in Knitting, Maggie’s been freaking out and madly knitting on a last-minute Baby Chalice Blanket, and nothing else because oh God, she needs to finish this baby blanket stat, and oh by the way, she’s kind of committed to make another baby blanket as well as a baby quilt.  Whoops.  Karen, meanwhile, finished the Metallurgy Shawl in time to give it to her supervisor at her retirement dinner, and has been working on the Traveling Vine socks from More Sensational Knitted Socks as well as her Turtlepurl self-striping socks in the Purple Purple 5th Anniversary colourway.  She also did actually take out her stash and spread it out on her living room floor and took pictures of her stash (including a couple of her lying on her stash, which are never going to see the light of day because wow, unflattering angle).  Thanks to the tossing of the stash, she’s also found some leftover balls of fingering weight yarn that she’s turning into a striped tube scarf of her own devising.

Oh, and if there are any people with tickets to the Welcome to Night Vale show in Toronto on July 2nd, let Karen know as she’s going.  There could be dinner!  Not containing outlawed wheat or wheat by-products, of course.

In Geek Squee, it’s time for the TV network upfronts, and we got the news that ABC has picked up the “Agent Carter” series to run during “Agents of SHIELD”‘s midwinter break (and during its new time slot of 9pm), and the CW has picked up the “Flash” tv show, which we saw a promo for and which looks interesting.  Of course it was also the Agents of SHIELD finale recently and Oh God, you guys, seriously, you will not believe how much we had to lower the audio for this bit because omgomgomgomgomgomg.  This episode recorded a little loud anyway, and, um…yeah.  Anyway…twitter has also been celebrating the month of May with Agent May facts, under the hashtag #Mayisms.  Seriously, these are hilarious.  We also watched the promo for the upcoming FOX show “Hieroglyph” which looks…interesting?  We’re also curious about the new “Constantine” TV series.  Also in casting news, Channing Tatum has been cast to play X-Man Gambit in an upcoming movie, and fans are…not convinced.  Warner Brothers has also set the release date for “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” (Nov. 18th, 2016!), there’s a separate series of Archie comics  called “Afterlife with Archie” where Riverdale has fallen to the zombie apocalypse, and Jim Butcher did an AMA on Reddit (which Maggie sadly missed).

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes, Hot Toys has done it again with its eerily life-like Sam “Falcon” Wilson figure, and in case you need to do some heavy drinking during Game of Thrones, Ommegang Brewery and HBO have you covered with a few different GoT-themed beer varieties.  They even have a beer finder on their website so you can see if you can get it in your area!
