In this episode, your hosts are preparing for the feels and thrills they’re likely to experience in Captain America 2 (message from the future: they were not remotely prepared).  Karen’s started another sock using a stitch pattern she found, finished the Irish Mesh Cowl for her mother and has also started the Metallurgy shawl as a retirement gift, while Maggie is working on the Kernel Shawl and got some yarn with possibly the best name ever.   Both are also planning tactics for the invasion of the Indigodragonfly booth at the Knitters Frolic as well as contemplating the upcoming There And Back Again Story Scarf-along as they wait for their yarn to arrive.

In Geek Squee, there’s some comic book/movie news, as Karen is losing it over Agents of SHIELD casting news (OMG COULSON/CELLIST FOREVER, also check out Page Branson’s fan art and the Level 7 Access Podcast), Chris Evans is likely only going to be acting to finish his Marvel contract then trying his hand at directing, there’s more news and some promo art released for Equinox, the teen Cree nation superhero that will be appearing in the Justice League Canada run of Justice League United. In non-comic news, Mark Gatiss obviously enjoys driving Karen bonkers as he’s teased the possibility of a Jane Austen-centred Doctor Who episode, and Patrick Stewart is going to be doing voicework for Cosmos (which, if you can watch it and are not, you need to look at your life choices).

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes, Karen bought some yarn and Tumblr may hate her for it, because seriously, londrawyarn.ca has some amazing one-of-a-kind handspun yarns.

Also, there is much squealing as your hosts received another package from New Zealand with some special hobbity stuff (and lots of chocolate.  THANK YOU AWILDA!

BTW, your hosts will definitely be at the Knitters’ Frolic in Toronto on Sat. Apr. 26th.  Find us!  Say hi!  We may have stickers!
