SPOILER ALERT!  Spoilers for Agents of SHIELD’s Season 2 finale from  37:30 to 47:35

This time on Knit 1 Geek 2, we’re still not okay, for so, so many reasons.

In Adventures in Knitting, Karen has finished stuff!  She’s finished her Leventry shawl for the Handknit Yarn Studio Summer Shawl Knitalong, and she finished and blocked it on time!  Well, pinned it out on time.  Dried in time, on the other hand…  She’s also finished her Monkey Socks out of Rhinebeck yarn. Of course that means she picked up the Urdr shawl again, as well as cast on a pair of socks she’s cobbled together from a stitch dictionary with some of her many skeins of Koigu.  She’s also done a fair bit of spinning! Oh, and there was also the Frolic, which was great and it was wonderful to meet so many listeners, though sad that Miz Maggie couldn’t make it.

Meanwhile, Maggie has been working on the Vivid blanket using her sock yarn ends, though that has been put to the side a little as she’s working with a certain listener to design a shawl for her mother’s birthday, which means she’s had to clear the decks and not cast on stuff that she can’t drop at a moment’s notice.  So naturally, she’s started the Sacre du Printemps socks.  She’s also done some spinning, some of which is turning into the Herringbone Cowl.  She’s also preparing to go test for her Black (widow) belt in July!

In Geek Squee, you knew we were going to talk about Avengers, right?  So yeah, there’s a lot of that.  There’s also freaking out about the Agents of SHIELD finale, as well as the renewal of both Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter for another season.  However, not everyone fared as well, as Constantine wasn’t picked up for another season, though maybe Netflix will step up and fund another season?  We’re getting a Supergirl series, though, and Karen’s pretty interested after seeing the trailer, and Maggie definitely is after seeing the leaked pilot, as she is for the new show Lucifer. Also, apparently someone at ABC was listening, because OMG WE’RE GETTING A NEW MUPPET SHOW.  Which was nice timing as recently scientists discovered a frog in Costa Rica that looks like Kermit!  Karen’s been watching a few things too, as she’s finished watching Daredevil and went to see Mad Max: Fury Road, both of which she loved, though both could be a bit violent and gory at times and she’s still trying to figure out what the hell just just watched with Mad Max.  And finally to counter some of the sexist crap we’ve seen in the last few weeks, we found an article about a super badass former Air Transport Auxiliary pilot who flew Spitfires in World War II and got the chance to go up in one again a few weeks ago at the age of 92.

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes,  Karen got a very special hat that might look familiar if you’ve seen the promo photos for Agent Carter. Meanwhile Maggie is drooling over the Celtic Myths shawl while Karen is lusting after some seriously gorgeous spinning fibre from Nunoco over on Etsy and nerding out over the book Sock Architecture by Lara Neel.
