Hello and welcome to Kitted Out, a podcast on football shirts.

Each episode we will take an in-depth look at a different shirt from throughout the years to discuss everything interesting about it. The design, the materials, the story.

For episode 3 I looked at the 2005 Stand Up Speak Up kits released by Nike to bring awareness to the campaign with the same name. Nike released kits to 5 teams in total as well as creating replicas to raise money for the campaign which ran from 2005 to 2008.

I chat with Gustavo Thomas about the kit he has, George Starkey-Midha about the work Kick It Out is doing, Kadeem Simmonds about racism in football media and familiar voice Nico Morales about racism in European football.

What is being done? What role does the media take and why, in 2018, is this still an issue? All questions no one has asked but ones we will answer.
