Hello and welcome to Kitted Out Podcast, a podcast on football shirts.

Each episode, I will take an in-depth look at a different shirt from throughout the years to discuss everything about it. The design, the materials, the story.

For episode 15 we’re discussing a kit to kick start a successful chain of events. In 1991, Borussia Dortmund changed from Adidas to Nike as their kit supplier, a new supplier to a league dominated by German brands Adidas & Puma. The season of 1994-95, Dortmund were given a vibrant coloured kit and bagged their first Bundesliga title in it. What were the first impressions of the kit, what happened this season and the Bundesliga have had some great kits in the past… so let's talk kits!

For this episode, I was joined by Uli Hesse, author of ’Tor! The story of German Football’ and many other books, I was also joined by Steve Appenowitz, author of the Trikot Buch, a book documenting all the kits of the Bundesliga era.
