Founded in 1971, MLM is a Missouri 501(c)(3) nonprofit social service agency serving low-income individuals and families in the urban areas of Jackson, Clay, and Platte counties in Missouri, and Wyandotte County in Kansas. MLM began operating with one paid staff person and a part-time food pantry. The agency has grown to 26 paid staff persons, over 1,700 volunteers, and five locations which served over 21,000 people during FY 2018. MLM serves people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and spiritual affiliations
