Have you ever heard the phrase “Strong Black Woman” as a term of endearment? Well we’re hear to tell you that it’s not! The connotation behind it is belittling and humiliating! No one wants to go through struggle to be labeled “strong”. 

Also there is the notion that as a black woman we are inherently strong because we have to be! No one asks are we able to be strong. 

Checking all the boxes and being strong ate two concepts that we have yet to really figure out.
