So, you didn’t spend $500 on a microphone when you started your podcast. That’s okay. Neither did I.

There are a million things I’d rather spend my money on. Let me name a few. Beer, whisky, tequila, ribs, Saskatchewan Roughrider memorabilia and traveling around the world.

But, that doesn’t mean you don’t have to worry about how your mic sounds because, ahem, YOUR PODCAST AUDIO QUALITY MATTERS!

I don’t care what others tell you (or you tell yourself to feel better). If your podcast sounds like you’re broadcasting out of a tin can… I’m not listening! And, I know a lot of others who won’t give you the time a day. It’s like watching a TV show that keeps crapping out on you or streaming video that freezes all the time. I’m out! There are too many other options out there with great content that don’t hurt my ears or distract me with bush-league sound.

So, what do you do? How can you have the best of both worlds - save money on your mic AND sound good?

In this episode, I’m going to help you get the most out of the mic you already have (assuming it’s not some toy mic). I’ve got three mic technique hacks that will have you sounding like you’ve got a booming pro-mic.

Remember, it’s not the equipment - it’s how you use it. So, listen up and learn a few ways to make that puny mic of yours sound like a monster.
