What do sex addiction and gay conversion therapy have in common? Neither one of them is an accepted term used by mental health professionals.

While “sex addiction” is sometimes used as an excuse for unacceptable behavior (think Harvey Weinstein), conversion therapy is downright dangerous and should never be used.
