The ego will do whatever it can to keep you where you are, even if where you are isn’t where you wish to be.

In layman's terms, under pressure, your thoughts will convince you that you’re not ready or capable of making those changes. Simply to keep you safe and comfortable.

The problem is we identify with our thoughts. BUT, you are not your thoughts! Rather the one who is listening.

Allow me to simplify, your subconscious mind is like a hard drive that can be programmed through repetition. Its main purpose is to keep you safe and alive. Therefore, anything that threatens your comfort zone is automatically rejected.

That is why many of us find ourselves sabotaging our efforts for change.
