SYFY Wire Fangrrls writers Alyssa Fikse (@lyssiefikse) and Jessica Toomer (@jessica_toomer) are always Team Uhtred, but episode three of the second season is Peak “Give Uhtred A Hug” time. Everyone’s favorite alderman is lost at sea in nightmare conditions. Alfred’s indifference doesn’t seem so bad now that Uhtred has been sold into slavery by Guthred and is worried about his feet rotting off in standing water. Back in Wessex, marrying off Aethelflaed becomes Alfred and Aelswith’s main focus, and boy, do they pick a prize winner. Jk, Aelthelred is terrible! The future queen deserves better!
