This week, we talk about a deliberate choice made by five rural families to educate their children in parochial elementary and middle schools instead of the public schools in their respective communities. We’ll meet two moms with children in pre-K, middle school, and high school who discuss their beliefs about parochial school advantages, and four college-bound students who all attended the same small Catholic elementary and middle school, but who are now [mostly] friendly cross-county rivals at two separate public high schools in a rural southern Illinois county.
