Jackie Adedeji, podcaster, presenter and writer speaks about her experience through the eyes of a black woman in 2020 reflecting on the expectations, stereotypes and oppression of black people.

Having been at the Black Lives Matter protests in London recently, Jackie reflects on her new found voice and sense of purpose.

We talk about the necessity of re-education and a call for history to be documented as it happened as opposed to the narrative we have been led to believe up till this point with regards to the actions of Great Britain.

Jackie talks on white guilt and a bigger call for action from groups who benefit from privilege.

We also talk on the subliminal messaging we are fed growing up around beauty, brand responsibility, the media's influence on society and internalising racism.

Jackie is a regular contributor to The Metro and also recently featured on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour, BBC 5Live and BBC London.
