Today I break down my framework that I use with every client and the listeners an overview of how I would set up their nutrition for the year in a way that allows them to be shredded during summer, only diet for 3 months of the year, and sustain this cycle for the rest of their lives.

It's called nutritional periodization, the premise is this:

Your diet should be treated much like a sports seasons-
Pre-season (preparing for the diet, habits being built, limiting beliefs being reframed, exc)
In-season (actively dieting; strict macro followings, reducing nights out, discipline)
Post-season (Recovering from the diet, increase food slowly back to maintenance)
Off-season (Maintenance or surplus to sustain or increase muscle mass)

REPEAT!

This cycle will allow you to have different seasons throughout the year so you're not "dieting" 24/7. This is where people experience burnout.

This also allows clients to have periods of the year where they are focusing less on their diet and more on things like:
-Strength gains in the gym
-More time with family and loved ones
-Having fun outside of the gym
-Focusing on their business
-Rest and Recover

I've found tremendous results with myself and my clients using this framework so I encourage you to get a calendar and ask yourself when do you want your seasons to be? Then start back tracking from there.
