Yolanda Summary of Deuteronomy 7-9

Chapter 7 God brings Israel into a land that they are about to possess. There were 7 nations : Hittities, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivities and the Jebusites. God is going to destroy them and deliver them to Israel. They wil be offered up to God for holy destruction.Do not make peace with them, do not marry them and do not worship their God.

God kept this promise by giving Israel the possession of land promised for the ancestors.God loves you, bless you and increase you.
Israel was apart.

Summary: We can depend on God to supply all of our needs. God will keep His promise.
Chapter 8 Don't forget God. Keep God"s commandments. The difficulty on living in the wilderness. Men and women don't live by bread only we live by every word that comes from God's mouth. Relay on God.

Summary: God is the key to prosper. If we follow and keep Him first in everything we could accomplish a lot. God is love and He also disciplines.
Chapter 9 Moses tells Israel they are crossing the Jordan River and that God is ahead of them and to not be afraid. Israel is going to take over Anakite. Moses also tells Israel not to get big headed in thinking that they did good when it was the wickedness of the nation. God kept his promised to there ancestors and Israel possess the land. Israel had been disobedient and were worshipping other gods. Moses reminded the people of Israel how God brought them out of Egypt and they sinned against God. Moses save them from destruction because Moses seeked God in prayer on behalf of Israels disobedient and God didn't release his anger on them.

Lesson learned: God dislikes wickedness and disobedience. He will fight our battles is we bring our concerns to Him.
