Summary of Numbers Chapter 33-34

Chapter 33
Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had brought judgment on their gods.

In this chapter we see Moses recount the journey of the isrealites from Egypt to the place where they are camped now. They are about to enter the promised land. God gives them a few instructions on what to do to the canannites when they get to the land and tells them the consequence if they dont obey him.

Chapter 34
God told Moses to tell the Israelites when they enter Canaan that the land will be allotted to them as an inheritance, and that the land will have certain boundaries.
The southern area will include some parts of the Zin Desert, along the Edom border. The southern border will begin in the eastern region from the southern area of the Dead Sea. It will cross south of the Scorpion Pass, then keep going to Zin. It will then go south of the Kadesh Barnea. It will extend to the Hazar Addar and then over to Azmon, there it will turn and join the Wadi area of Egypt. The boundary will conclude at the Mediterranean Sea.

lesson
God reminded Moses to command the children of Israel the land they are coming into is an inheritance from God. In particular, the land was God's promise to Abraham, a gift to Abraham's descendants that they would inherit the land of Canaan.
