In episode 8, Dónal speaks to Toner Quinn about the story of music in Ireland over the past two decades.
Toner founded the Journal of Music in 2000. Since then, the Journal of Music has been setting the tone for public discussion about music in Ireland. In this episode, Toner speaks about the challenges for musicians coming down the line, the joys of learning fiddle from great teachers, and the profound impact of inheriting a lifetime supply of vinyl from his aunt. Toner is a music writer, a fiddle player, and a lecturer in publishing at NUI Galway.
