ASTRI is a research institute that focus on developing technologies and transfer to the industry through licensing. Alex and his team are responsible for facilitating 5G Core Network as well as Smart Mobility, working with local department on proof-of-concept on this architecture in public roads in Hong Kong, which uses 5G to address road safety and future connected-autonomous vehicle operations. In addition, ASTRI is not only looking at 5G core as a solution to build networks, but also on advanced applications that utilizes 5G and derive the most suitable architectures and features to address applications requirements.
