Next Episode: EDC and Preparedness

We are bombarded by communications, either through legacy or social media that we are on the precipice of calamity, that the global order is teetering on collapse and was such, it intentionally induces fear - the most powerful of emotions. In the early months of the pandemic, the population feared the virus, until we understood the vitality, death rate and transmission. Once a target of fear sees a pathway through the problem, the power of fear is deflated. Hoarding is a reaction to scarcity, the idea that there is not enough for everyone and that the potential cessation of production of something we deem essential for our survival is imminent.  If we believe that item X is about to disappear, we will buy as much as we can so that we defeat the fear of living without, when repeated on many important items, we hoard.
In preparedness we see this on YouTube, Reddit and other social media where the charlatans are telling everyone to stock up now on something that they believe will be removed from the marketplace. Using fear to induce purchasing based upon scarcity. Evil.
