Companies have a variety of group meetings related to innovation. These may have a focus on the status of a project, an ideation session, a product definition session, or a challenge that has arisen in product lines. Before the pandemic, meetings required perfect attendance in order to be functional, as there were not yet effective methods of including remote workers. Anyone who has been a remote worker will know that it is tough to participate in meetings effectively, stay engaged, and have an audible voice. One of the benefits of working during the pandemic is that workers became proficient in various skills necessary for working remotely.

In today’s episode, I examine the skills people attained after working remotely and how they are innovating the various practices in the office. I highlight the benefits of using virtual meetings with in-person and remote attendance. I share the methods to ensure that attendees in the meeting room do not become disconnected from virtual participants. I reveal technological solutions that enable valuable points to be raised and highlighted without disrupting the flow of your meeting. I also share the benefits of capturing questions, answers, opinions, and resources during a meeting using a chat app.

“There are techniques that are going to make us much better at moving forward when we all come back to work, where everyone can’t be around the table.” - Paul Heller
