Asana,simply understand only posture or exercise.But Asana means a lot more.. asana means no hope in hindi....like when you do somthing do without acceptation and when you do somthing without acceptation things will turn positive to you. Asana means "mat" in hindi that means mat has very great importance in yoga.On which mat you do yoga it carries your energy so its advised to do on your on mat.
