This week is "video game score composer week" here at IGI. Today we are talking with Andrew Rohrmann aka scntfc. Andy has been a video game score composer for over ten years. I first became aware of his work when I played 2016's Oxenfree. Most of the conversation focuses on two games that I recently played and loved that Andy created sound and music for: Journey Of The Broken Circle and Old Man's Journey. You can find Andrew’s work at scntfc.bandcamp.com or at cargocollective.com/scntfc. You can also find him on Twitter @scntfc.

In today’s conversation, Andrew and I will cover some of the big changes that he has seen in his over ten year career in video games. We talk about the importance of taking advantage of opportunities. We get into how his style and workflow has changed over the years. Andrew dishes advice for developers in acquiring the right composer as well as advice for composers on how to secure a gaming gig, and we get into his opinions on music and rhythm games. All that and much more.
