Martin Stig Andersen is a video game score composer and game audio specialist. He as provided music and/or sound for such games as Playdead's LIMBO (2010) and INSIDE (2016), as well as Wolfenstien II: The New Colossus (2017) and Control (2019). I have played all of those games and they are some of my all-time favorites. Martin was called out by my past guest Clemens Ruh, sound designer on the incredible INDUSTRIA (2021).

In this episode we will discuss the iterative process of developing LIMBO, the role of silence in video game scoring, the difference between music and sound design, are LIMBO and INSIDE connected?, playing music through a human skull, inhabiting the space between music and sound design, sound design influencing game design, the absurdity of Wolfenstein II, combat vs. exploration music, working on a remaster, and much more.
