José Ramón "Bibiki" García is a composer and sound designer. He provided the music found in Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX (2021) which is a remake of Alex Kidd in Miracle World from 1986. I played Alex Kidd DX on Playstation, but the game is also available on Xbox, Switch, and PC. The game is ultra challenging but fun. The visuals, unique gameplay, and music are all highlights. Bibiki was called out by my past guest Ben Ridge, composer for Thymesia.

In this episode we will discuss remaking a classic game from the 80s, the challenges of meeting the expectations of classics fans, using live instruments to record your score, composition vs. performance, procedural music generation, performing music live, developing a PICO-8 game, and much more.
