Documentary filmmaking can be a challenge when you have a subject who is savvy on how to control the narrative...

On this episode we talk with director Lesley Chilcott about her new film 'Watson' which chronicles the life and times of activist Paul Watson and the over 40 years that he has dedicated to the preservation of the world's oceans and their subsequent habitat's.

We talk about the origins of the film, the challenges of research and getting certain shots on a film like this as well as what got her into the business and her very favourite documentaries which we kind of stumped her on. (We love Man On Wire too Lesley) :)

This was a lively glimpse into the world of documentary filmmaking and you should check out this movie and our talk with Lesley to know more...
