'The Kid Detective' is exactly that...well kind of... It's the story of a once-celebrated kid detective (Brody), now in his 30's continues to solve the same trivial mysteries between hangovers and bouts of self-pity. Until a naive client (Nelisse) brings him his first 'adult' case, to find out who brutally murdered her boyfriend.

This is one of those films that keeps you going as a film critic because it really captures the joy of indie cinema while keeping just enough of the Hollywood beats and flares to it that draw in the crowds.
