Phil Earle was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal with When the Sky Falls.  his hard-hitting emotional story,  which highlights the plight of zoo animals during The Blitz.

Phil's latest book While the Storm Rages is also set in the Blitz but this time tells about the fate of many pets and one boy and his friends' quest to save their animal companions. Phil dropped by to tell us more about the story.
