Let's face it: being a dad and a physician in the 21st century is completely different to what the previous generations have gone through.  Time at home is just as valuable as time at work.   Being a parent is more about your interactions with your kids rather than your pocketbook.  However, the resources out there are scarce on how we are supposed to improve these new expectations as fathers while as being a doctor.

When is the last time you read a parenting book?  How about a book similar to "How to potty train your toddler?"  Those books may help certain situations, however I don't think knowledge on potty training truly helps you master dealing with your screaming toddler in the grocery store line.

There is a lot more to parenting than the quick-fix titles out there.  This week I dive into the 6 B's of being a physician dad and why I think these can all improve your not only your life at home but also your life at work.  I will also quickly discuss some changes in the podcast and what to expect in the coming months.

Starting on Fridays, there will be a quick Friday Review show which will focus on this weeks topic.  I may leave a quick tip for the week, closing thoughts on the topic at hand, or dive even deeper to what was discussed on Wednesday.  I hope you take a listen and let me know what you think!
