Prior to district closures last spring, Superintendent HD Chambers sat down with Barbara Quattro (chair of the Alief Super Neighborhood Council), Amenda Abi Saab (former Youngblood student and current O'Donnell student) and Erin Gilbert (Youngblood Intermediate School teacher) to discuss the impact of the Alief Community Garden. They discuss how the community came together to develop the garden on the district plot and how Youngblood uses it as an interactive and fun outdoor classroom.
