Good Monday morning welcome to the Idaho Farm Bureau market report, available on Spotify and iTunes. We’re coming to you from Boise where it’s 36-degrees here morning, 32 degrees in Pocatello and IF, 27-degrees in the Magic Valley, and 29-degrees in Moscow and CDA.

Onto the markets

May 21st Corn futures are mixed this morning, with front months fractionally cents lower. .Corn opens up in CBOT $5.52 up 6 cents.

Wheat futures open the Monday session mixed. May 21 CBOT wheat opens at $6.13 up just about a penny from Friday.

Locally wheat down across the board:

 Meridian
- Soft White Wheat | 5.90 | down 10
- Hard Red Winter | 5.77 | down 7
- DNS 14% | 5.97 | down 8
- Corn | 6.22 | up 3

Fat cattle futures open with gains of 22 cents. June was the strongest on the day, widening its April premium to $1.67. Cash trade this week has been a dollar higher at $115, Dressed sales have mostly been $185 for the week. Feeder cattle futures open with gains up to 90 cents. The CME Feeder Cattle Index is $136.75, up by $1.29.

Sugar opens at 15 cents per pound and no gains this morning.

Heating oil opens at 47.82 and flat…

Milk opens at  $16.19 down a cent.

 Supreme hay going for 190 to 200, Feeder hay up to 140.
