Rory Linkletter joined the Hoka One One NAZ Elite team in 2019 and will be running his second marathon this weekend at The Marathon Project! He ran his first marathon very quickly after turning Pro in 2:16 and since then has ripped a 61:44 half in Houston and has a full year of training with NAZ Elite under his belt. It is exciting to see what that will produce this weekend.

Originally from Canada, Rory moved to the United States at 6, was a stand out runner in HS and went on to run at BYU. He was a three-time NCAA first team All American in track and field and a three-time NCAA All American in cross country. He helped lead the BYU Cougars to podium finishes at the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Rory ran his first post-collegiate race in the summer of 2019 at the Canadian 10,000 meter Championships where he finished third. He was then named to the Canadian team for the 2019 Pan American Games where he finished 6th. In the fall he made his marathon debut in 2:16:42 at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon. He then kicked off 2020 by setting a team record of 1:01:44 at the Aramco Houston Half Marathon–his first ever half marathon. He was second in July at the St. George Showdown 5,000 and 9th in October at the Michigan Pro Half Marathon. (Source – NAZ Elite Website)
