Episode number 50
This writer's block is a tricky one.
Sometimes we feel like the novel isn't going in the right direction. And many times we feel as if the you novel is taking too many turns and it simply doesn't make sense.
However, this could actually be a sign that your muse is, in fact, working very well.
As artists, sometimes it's hard to rely on our creativity.
But, national novel writing month is all about letting go of the critical editor and simply trusting your muse.
If you are struggling, and you feel like as if your novel isn't going in the right direction, consider the following:
your novel is in parts, and you're the type of writer who writes in pieces until it all comes together. There's much more to your story, and you are barely chipping off of the iceberg. You haven't completely let yourself run free, the second-guessing is holding you down and so the pieces don't look like they belong, but recently need to keep going in order to see them get pieced together. Your muse is a funny creature, and your muse wants to have fun and this is a way that it has fun.
