This week we have egg cinematography expert Andrew Dimola (@zhadn_AD) on to discuss Alfonso Cuaron’s legendary near-future dystopia Children of Men (2006). On the day that Sen. Bernie Sanders suspended his presidential campaign, we fittingly discussed the movie’s main themes: a world without hope, the courage faith demands, and immigration. Our rewatch of Children of Men during the nearly-worldwide quarantine 7 years prior to the events of the film left us with plenty to talk about. This episode is double-stuffed, but we recommend listening to the end for Andrew’s notes about what he remembered about the film after not having watched it for ten years.
