"From a white male perspective, there's a whole lot of boasting and bragging about money, but there's not a lot of conversation about, 'I'm struggling in this area.'" - Justin Peters

In school, Justin Peters had to memorize the periodic table, read Shakespeare, and learn how to find the limit of an equation (the limit does not exist). But once he entered the "real world," he wasn't prepared for it. Why hadn't he been offered practical classes like Intro to Filing Your Taxes, Healthy Carbs 101, or History of Making Friends and Being Social?

So, he founded The Struggle Is Real (TSIR), a podcast for millennials who don't know what they're doing but want to start figuring it out. Each episode solves a problem that young professionals will face throughout their twenties that wasn't covered in the classroom. Today, we detail how we've asked for raises, the money taboo, addressing finances with friends and family, battling burnout, and more.
