インドネシア出身のアニーサ（Annisa）と、バングラデシュ出身のアシーフ（Asif）の二人を迎えたトークの最終回です。今回のテーマは、「留学生からの英語学習のアドバイス」です。



「異文化ディスカッション」50回目のごあいさつ：

おかげさまで50回目の「異文化ディスカッション」を迎えました。2008年10月の第１回（アメリカ出身のKimberlyとDan）から今回の第50回まで、これまでに登場したゲストは29名、登場した国は10か国。これまでの番組は、もちろんこのWebページですべて聴くことができます！

今後とも国際色あふれる番組づくりを進めてまいりますので、どうか末永くご愛聴ください。

Bangla

= a language with about 220,000,000 native speakers, which is the 5th most in the world. It's the second most-spoken language in India. It is also often called Bengali. (Note: Asif later says 150 million and the 8th most-spoken language, but the larger numbers come from reliable sources on the Internet.)



a tone language

= 音調言語. The most famous example is Chinese.



Sanskrit

= a language spoken in parts of India, but it's written texts are especially famous because they have greatly affected the religions of Buddhism and Hinduism.



Hindi

= a language spoken by about 258 million people in India



Dhonyobad

= "Thank you" in Bangla.

= relaxed, not strict

= a British singer, especially popular in the 1980s.

TOEFL

= the Test of English as a Foreign Language. This exam (which includes a speaking part) is often used when non-native English speakers want to study at an American or Canadian university.



IELTS

= the International English Language Testing System. This exam (which also often includes a speaking part) is especially used at schools in countries such as England and Australia.
