Many colleges and universities around the country have fully transitioned to what has now been nicknamed “Zoom University”. At first, the news constituted humor and American students were excited to see how online class would play out. Now, we are over a month in and have witnessed dozens of shortcomings with the new system; realizing our tuition money is not worth the sub-par online learning experience. With states, politicians, and even universities starting to accept this as the “new normal”, some important questions that students have been asking include: “Is getting a college degree even worth it now?”, “If school is online during the fall semester should I take a gap year?”, or “Why don’t we all just drop out?”. These examples are a few of the many relevant debates we want to address. Join us for this episode, where we dissect everything surrounding the current climate of American education during the COVID-19 Pandemic and how college-life may change in the coming years.
