In this special Wheel of the Year episode I discuss Imbolc, the ancient Gaelic festival of welcoming early Spring. I talk about the meaning of the word Imbolc, the special energies of this underappreciated sabbat, and the female figures, the Goddess Brigit and St. Brigid, who are central to this festival. I'll also talk about why you hear so much about milk on Imbolc! Of course I share the Imbolc correspondences and give you ideas of how you can celebrate in simple ways at home. Imbolc is a great time to practice introspection, patience, hospitality, and to work on creative expression or even think about new beginnings, so these are the themes that I'll touch on regarding this holiday. I end the episode with an amazing recipe for an Imbolc Tres Leches Candle Cake from Witches' Cookery.  Enjoy!
