From their origins in the Moluccas islands off the coast of Indonesia, to their involvement in in the Spice Trade of the 17th and 18th centuries, cloves were a sought after commodity worth more than their weight in gold. I also talk about the many uses of cloves and clove oil, from a natural analgesic to a supposed cure for the desire for alcohol. I go over some magickal properties of cloves like protection, prosperity, and raising vibrations of a sacred space, and I finish the episode by sharing a recipe for Clove Snaps.
