If one good turn deserves another, then my guest today should brace herself for a lot of good coming her way. As the founder of Notable Impressions, Denishia Sword is repaying the good turn she received as a student at Florida State University by sharing the same gift with others.

Launched in October of 2020, Notable Impressions is a non-profit professional development agency that helps their clients prepare for and navigate the professional world with professional apparel, resume consultation workshops, and scenario-based learning and coaching.

Denishia has more than 15 years of communications, marketing, community outreach and media relations experience. She has most recently served as the Director of External Affairs and Chief of Education, Advocacy and Research (Bureau Chief) for a Florida state agency. She has produced several television newscasts; served as an instructor of public speaking at the Florida State University; and has been responsible for media relations for several state agencies. Mrs. Sword has also provided public outreach on behalf of the Florida House of Representatives and has led crisis communications efforts during health-related and natural disasters in Florida.

Mrs. Sword is a certified Leadership and Life Coach. Mrs. Sword has received several awards for communications and marketing initiatives, including the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPHIC) Award for Excellence in Public Health Communication. Mrs. Sword holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in communications and marketing from the Florida State University. Some of Mrs. Sword’s volunteerism includes: Administrative Team of Destiny Church TLH; ProfessioNOLE Mentor through FSU; and co-founder of Pro-tique, the professional clothing giveaway.
