Perhaps the ultimate recognition was his MBE presented by HM The Queen in 2008, a special moment in a glittering career.

Errol’s photographic work is regularly featured in the fashion and beauty press and he participates in shows and presentations throughout the world, demonstrating his hairdressing skills and creative techniques to a wide audience. Errol’s talents, professional approach and engaging personality make him the obvious choice for television with regular appearances on the BBC, Channel 4 and daytime TV.

His hairstyling skills set the standards that others follow, while his collections preview hot new trends fused with classic styling, his impressive client following facilitates the joy of simply making someone look their very best.

Errol first realised his dream of working in hairdressing when he was just eleven years old, taking a job in a local hair salon in East London. He then moved to Knightsbridge’s Neville Daniel salon spending six years here, before moving to Paul Edmonds for five years as Artistic Director and completing his career working for someone else as Artistic Director for Richard Ward for four years.

In summer 1998, Errol opened the Errol Douglas salon in London’s Belgravia on beautiful Motcomb Street. The salon’s immense success is testament to the dedication of Errol and his team of talented stylists. Hailed as a centre of technical excellence the salon is accredited as one of only 12 Leading Salons of the World in the UK. It is completely inclusive, able to care for any hair type and is a destination for international and UK based clients. Entering its 20th year, the salon carries its world class status well. Recognising the emerging talent around him, the next key project on the horizon is the launch of a salon which holds the standards of the Errol Douglas brand at its heart whilst immersing itself in cooler edgier styling and colour to engage with a whole new audience – EDge is around the corner.
