On this episode, Heidi and Drew welcome Dr. Russell Threet to the podcast. Dr. Threet is a Biblical Counselor and Pastor at West Park Baptist in Ozark, AR, and the parent of a special needs child. Often the church doesn’t realize one of the largest groups of people who need Jesus are families with special needs children. It’s hard for them to attend. It’s hard especially for a smaller church to care for special needs children. But on this podcast Dr. Threet helps us understand a willing heart and sensitive culture to people who are different and in need can be as effective as certain programs for these families. We need to learn awareness to communicate and prepare our church families for how to minister and serve these families in need.
