Sophie Mills shares her experience with caretaking her father and dealing with his death she suffered initially in her grief journey.  Her deep connection with her father lead her to search and try an array of therapy, some alternative therapy, and read books to understand death.  She now sees the world as a beautiful gift.  Discussion how grief can be a difficult topic.  Understand the value of others holding space for us with empathy and compassion.  Healing happens through others witnessing you during raw vulnerability in grief.  Grief comes in waves.  Sometimes people fear being out of control if they release their emotions.  Emotions can be processed and won't last forever.  She shares the importance of setting aside time and space to let emotions flow such as crying. Loss and grief can shine a torch on the areas of our lives that need healing.  Old traumas get brought to the surface during loss, death, and experiencing pain.  After years of processing the trauma and pain one can become expanded.  Learn to embrace being present in the here and now to feel joy in your body through activities that is helpful to you.  

Sophie is a spiritual grief coach, a sacred death educator, death doula, and a gentle parenting coach with a background in holistic Occupational Therapy.  She helps mothers who have lost parents, siblings, children, or spouses to thrive alongside grief and integrate the loss in a way that creates expansion and adds purpose and meaning to their life whilst also parenting a little one. She provides a safe container for women to come together, to share their experiences, to grow and learn in unity and to heal on a deep level. She also teaches the mothers how to talk to their kids about death and provide a heap of play ideas to help their child process it all.
