Our fifth grounding episode colour breathing will be focusing on how to control anxiety using the breath.



This week will be using the idea of colour to help focus our thoughts and reduce anxiety. The technique 'colour breathing' helps you develop a healthier relationship with anxiety by matching a variety of colours to the breath. This focuses your mind on the breath whilst helping you feel that you are releasing tension, making dissociation less likely. It's a simple concept which can have dramatic effects, with some seeing a dramatic change in the length of panic attacks. By doing this you will start to feel your body relax and respond, ultimately feeling calmer and present.
