It’s no secret that we’re all feeling the strain of being far from our churches over the last six months, and the same has gone for our pastors. So how can our pastors care for us and how can we care for them? That’s today’s hot topic. Welcome to Happy & Holy, the podcast about creating biblical community with intimacy and integrity wherever you find yourself in location or in life. I’m your host, Kate Boyd, and I’m so glad you’ve joined us.

My guest today to talk all about pastoral care -- for us and for our pastors -- is Amy Ickes. After working for 5 different churches in 5 different denominations, Amy decided it was time to work for the whole Church. She provides coaching for women in ministry and consulting services for churches. She specializes in helping men and women on staff thrive together, launching new ministries, and writing discipleship and leadership curriculum. When she's not working, she loves to be outside in the summer, and curled up on the couch with a quilt, a cat, and a cup of coffee in the winter.
