Whats the outcome when you give someone a chance? This week we sat down with Coach Jim Johnson. Jim is a former high school basketball coach turned motivational speaker and he has an incredible story which you've probably heard on ESPN! Jim teaches that miracles do come true, mainly because he has lived it. On one of the final games of a basket ball season, he put in Jay Shelofsky (Jay Mac) a student with autism. Jay Mac tried out for the team every year since he was a freshman and each year did not have the skill to make the team. To keep Jay involved in with the basketball program, he was the teams manager. Then one game toward the end of Jay’s senior year, they let him suit up in a basketball uniform to hopefully get some playing time. What happened after this was truly remarkable. Jay Mac was put in the game with only minutes left. He ended up scoring over 20 points, hitting three pointer after three pointer. It was a miracle. Through Jim’s experiences as a basketball coach, he now coaches in a different way. He speaks on making dreams come true and leadership.
